Big Challenge for the Judges 3e1s6d

The selection for The Big Game on Tour featured the famous commentating duo James Hartigan and Joe Stapleton, as well as Nadya Magnus, one of the most famous Loose Cannons from the original series.

Their job was to interview over 90 applicants who made it through the initial stages, and over the course of three rounds of auditions, pick just three. They had a good idea of what they were looking for in contestants, but it was still no easy task.

As mentioned, the audition comprised three rounds. In the first round, the qualifiers introduced themselves and presented their arguments as to why they thought they deserved to be picked.

The second round featured the famous “two truths and a lie” game, where contestants came up with three interesting statements about their lives, two of them being true and one completely bogus. Then, judges tried to figure out which one of these three was a bluff.

The final round saw those still in the running answering questions from the judges about how they’d play a certain hand and how they’d react to winning a huge pot by hitting one of their outs on the river.

After all this, the jury had enough to make their picks, so the final nine were invited back in the room in groups of three, with one person out of each group getting the good news.

A Colorful Mix of Characters 6z61x

When it was all said and done, we ended up with three very interesting and quite different Loose Cannons, so we could be in for a really fun and exciting ride this season.

Luke Moy hails from the United Kingdom. By profession, he is a pub manager, and he is convinced his experience meeting different types of people and dealing with all sorts of personalities will be a great asset on the felt. Interestingly, Luke’s audition got off to a pretty rough start, but he was able to regain his composure and win the hearts of the jury .

Jordan Handrich was a successful lawyer, but her legal career came to an abrupt end following an injury and a botched chiropractor procedure. After that, she moved to Vegas to heal and started dabbling in women’s tournaments, finding a lot of success right off the bat. Her life story, combined with her ion for the game, got her all the way through the audition.

Finally, Luke Wakelin managed to seize the third and final Loose Cannon spot because all three judges recognized him as a go-getter. Luke took a risky approach during his audition process, letting his ambitious side take over, and the gamble paid off. Hopefully, he’ll be able to find the same kind of success at the table.

Over the course of the next few months, we’ll get to see these Loose Cannons in action as they try to turn their initial stake of $50,000 into a substantial amount of profit, playing against big-time poker pros and various celebrities. The first episode airs on May 24 on the PokerStars YouTube channel, and it’s safe to say we are in for an exciting ride!
